Subseries I: Correspondence, 1803-1958
Subseries I: Correspondence, 1803-1958, is arranged chronologically by date and contains a variety of the extended family’s correspondence from the early nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. The subseries includes a variety of letters, receipts, orders, receipts, estate inventories, greeting cards, and photocopies of original correspondence. Many of the letters in the collection address the business endeavors of the family within the valley, such as their connections with various groups including Delaware, Lehigh, and Wyoming Railroad Company, law interests, and family matters. The receipts document Gilbert Stuart McClintock’s curation and collection of various prints, sculptures, paintings, and reliefs throughout the twentieth century.
