Subseries III: Deeds, 1805-1922
Subseries III: Deeds, 1805-1922, is arranged chronologically by date and contains a variety of contracts, memorandums, deed transfers and sale of land situated in the region. There are also photocopies of original deed contracts. The contracts include the total acreage, price of the sale, structure for paying in installments, and land-survey parameters for the boundaries of the property. A majority of the items pertain to the same tract of land, a plot in Wilkes Barre, which becomes an estate trust.
