Series VIII: Newspapers, Magazines, and Advertisements, 1712-1958, is arranged chronologically by publication date and contains full newspapers, clippings from newspapers, full magazines, magazine clippings, and advertisements, many of which are either local to Wilkes-Barre or include content that would have been of interest to people in Wilkes-Barre. The series as a whole represents topics and events that were saved by Gilbert Stuart McClintock and his family that reflect historical events from the eighteenth century to the twentieth century.
