Description:

The following item depicts an engraving by John B. Forrest of John Tyler, the 10th president of the United States, after an original painting by James Reid Lambdin. The image presents a bust-length portrait, wearing a black overcoat and vest with a white undershirt beneath. His hair is slicked back and there is a black backdrop. Beneath the engraving, Tyler has written his signature. The date for the engraving and original paintings have been estimated by the life dates of Lambdin and Forrest.
