Description:

The following item depicts an engraving by Henry Bryan Hall & Sons, circa, after 1858, of Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States, after an original painting by George Peter Alexander Healy, finished in 1858. The engraving depicts a bust-length portrait of Pierce, wearing a black overcoat and dark vest. He wears a white undershirt with a black necktie. His hair is dark and curly. Below the engraving is Franklin Pierce’s signature.
