Description:

The letter dated February 15, 1872, is written by James Garfield, the 20th president of the United States, to the editors of the Congressional Globe. In the letter, Garfield is writing to them to ask for 2,500 copies of the issue that holds his speech on education. He concludes by requesting the balance on the account, as he has received the shipment.

H-----[Illegible ] Eds [Editors] Globe- Fifteen hundred copies of the 2500 copies of my speech on Education which I ordered have come. I am anxious to have the balance as soon as possible. Please inform me by byearer [bearer] as soon as when they will come. Very truly yours Ja[mes] Garfield Feb[ruary]. 15 1872
