Description:
The following letter dated December 19, 1921, is written by Calvin Coolidge, the 30th president of the United States, to William Henry O’ Connell, an influential cardinal of the Catholic Church during the twentieth century. In the letter, Coolidge is writing to O’Connell to thank him for a recent note he just received. He continues on to mention that it is always a learning and joyous experience to hear from him and his travels. Coolidge also thanks O’Connell for an inclusion of him in the latter’s work recently.

The associated title of Monsignor was connected to William Henry O’Connell was made by an article of his life in the newspaper “Pilot,” digitized on the Boston College Libraries website.
