Subseries I: Zebulon Butler Correspondence, 1759 - 1789

Subsubseries I: Zebulon Butler Correspondence, 1759 - 1789 is arranged chronologically and contains correspondence related to the life of Zebulon Butler. Not every item within this subsubseries is correspondence however, as it also includes a payroll, as well as a check and a military appointment.

Some examples of the scenes and events depicted or referenced within this subsubseries include the Battle of Wyoming, the Susquehanna Controversy, attacks on the Wyoming Garrison by Native Americans, as well as the arrest of Zebulon Butler after returning to Wilkes Barre in 1863.
