Title:

Thomas Campbell

Description:

A black and white engraving of a three-dimensional bust of Thomas Campbell created by French designer Achille Collas. The engraving itself sits in the center and extends to about 2” from the paper's edge. It is shaped like a painting with the “frame” being ornately detailed. Inside the frame there is an oval shape meant to draw focus to Campbell’s place in the very middle. It is a side profile of the man facing towards his left with no distinguishable expression on his face. The engraving is only of his upper chest and shoulders. His clothing appears to be a simple button down shirt with a sort of cloak draped over it. Underneath the oval with his face is his name in a plaque-like structure in normal font. Outside of the frame are the words “Engraved by A. Collas” with additional text at the bottom of the page.
