Anna St. Louis Fowler

Description:

A bookplate for Anna St. Louis Fowler. There is a crest surrounded by Garland with books and a lamp below it. There are flowers on top of the crest. “Frank B. Siegrist was a partner along with his brother Ivan, which was founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1902, by their father Henry Siegrist.” Bookplate creator Frank Bowman Siegrist was born on May 20, 1891. His parents were Henry Snavely Siegrist and Emma Sullivan Siegrist. He had two siblings, Ivan Sullivan Siegrist and Lucy Siegrist Kester. He died on June 17, 1969 and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Bookplate collector Anna St. Louis Fowler was born on October 10, 1879 in Canada. She was married to Harry Truton Fowler. Her parents were Harry Alfred Fowler and Bernice Fowler Wornall. She died on August 24, 1926 in Kansas City, Missouri and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery.
