Description:

A bookplate drawing of a semi-nude woman holding a book under her arm that states, “HD” with a body of water and a bridge in the background. There is also a city and a castle in the background. The bookplate creator is a “A.Greilsamer” who might be a European bookplate artist since their name does not come up within American bookplate books. The artist signed A. Greilsamer may plausibly be Alphonse Greilsamer, a nineteenth century artist. He often painted landscape themes in his paintings, but there is evidence to his portrait work by lead pencil, similar to the portrait on the bookplate.
