Description:

A bookplate with California poppies on it, that says Ex Libris Geneva Irene Turner. Sheldon Cheney was born on June 29, 1886 in Berkeley, California. He was an author and art critic. He worked for his father before he relocated to Detroit and started the Theater Arts Magazine in 1916 and was an editor until 1921. His magazine helped advertise “little theater activity, advocated for new stagecraft design and ushered in a new era of playwrights.”
