Description:
A bookplate featuring a woman holding a stack of books. Some of them are falling. Around the image, there are a bunch of vines. Bookplate collector Charles Edwin Snow was born on December 7, 1833 in Rochester, New York. His mother was Samantha (Petty) Snow and his Father was Charles Wright Snow. His wife was Mary Elizabeth (Ralph) Snow. When Snow was a kid, he and his family relocated to Avon, New York, then Lima, New York, where he grew up. In the 1850s, it is believed that Snow moved to Michigan with his parents, traveling over 400 miles across Lake Erie. He got married to Mary Elizabeth Ralph on March 17, 1859 and they had 10 kids. He died on November 28, 1902 in Jackson, Michigan.
