Description:

This is a note written by Jonathan Downing of Canterbury to John Durkee in May of 1770, however, there is not enough context to clearly understand what the note is referencing. This note appears to be a receipt of some kind including the mentions of the price of flower.John Durkee was a Justice of the Peace; Member of the Connecticut General Assembly; and an Innkeeper. He laid out the town of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
