Poor. Many tears on the left side of the paper when looking at the front. Starting to tear down the middle and some discoloration. Ink is still legible.

Description:
This is a notice written by Ezekiel Pierce warning of a meeting in Kingston that was taking place at Lieut. Asahel Buck’s house. Maj. Ezekiel Pierce was former town clerk of Plainfield, Connecticut (1749-1754), but then appointed town clerk for Westmoreland county once moving to wyoming in 1771.He, was the ready writer of early days and for a succession of years clerk of the town, the records being in his handwriting Lieut. Asahel Buck was 2nd Lieutenant of Durkee’s Wyoming Valley Independent Pennsylvania Company and one of the first settlers of Kingston township.

The Proprietors and Settlers of the town of Kingstown are Hereby warned to meet at ye House of Leiut-Bucks on Satterday [sic] ye tenth Day of this Instant October at three of the clock in ye afternoon
First to choose overseers for making ye Rods to Dillowore [sic] River.
