Description:
The manuscript dated October 11, 1792, depicts a note written by Nathan Dension to Matthias Hollenback, a prominent mercantile entrepreneur in the Wyoming Valley. The note contains a receipt of dues paid by Hollenback for a half year’s salary being paid to Denison. The reverse of the manuscript dated December 27, 1792, depicts another note written by Denison cataloging a few accounts he holds, one for 112 pounds and 10 shillings with Elisha Dawson to be paid to Leonard Dorsey. This note also mentions an account with Hollenback, amounting to 12 pounds paid to the author. The manuscript is a fragment of a larger page and is written in a different hand, possibly alluding to another author.
