Description:

This is a letter from Montgomery Blair to an unknown person on an unknown date. The purpose of this letter was to provide the recipient with Blair’s signature. Blair, the creator of this letter, was born in 1813 in Kentucky. He served as U.S. district attorney and postmaster-general during the Civil War in Lincoln’s cabinet. Blair was also a prominent figurehead for the Democratic party.
