Description:

This is a letter from Henry Harland to Thomas Janvier on June 28. The letter is about scheduling a meeting the day after Harland has a business meeting. The creator of this letter, Henry Harland, was born in Connecticut in 1861. He attended Harvard Divinity School and City College of New York, he eventually moved to London and became involved in the Aesthetic movement in which he began his writing career. The recipient of this letter, Thomas Janvier, was born in Philadelphia and was a story writer and historian. Janvier spent time in New York, New Mexico, Mexico, and Colorado where he would find much of his inspiration for his writings.

I have a business engagement in town for Tuesday; and besides, W[illia]m. Gould, whom we are anxious to have you meet, will be away on Tuesday, but on Wednesday will be “of Return.” Say you will make it Wednesday; and believe the assurances of our dealtless regard. H. H.
