Description:

This is a letter from Howard Kennedy to Luther Kniffen on October 29, 1954. The letter is typed and it’s in regard to the coal beneath the River Common… The creator of this letter, Howard Kennedy, was born in Pennsylvania in 1910. Kennedy graduated from Dickinson College and Dickinson Law School and practiced as an attorney for eighteen years. He was a trust officer and senior vice-president of United Penn; Kennedy also served as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
