Description:
This is a letter from Nicholas Longworth to Jacob Cist on June 28, 1851. In the book Sketches and Statistics of Cincinnati in 1851 written by Cist, he incorrectly stated the measurements of Longworth’s winehouse. In this letter, Longworth calls out Cist as being a fibber while having a standing in the church. The creator of this letter, Nicholas Longworth, was born in New Jersey in 1783. He was a winemaker and real estate speculator. The recipient, Charles Cist, was born in Pennsylvania in 1792. Cist became an editor and was the creator of a family journal called The Western Weekly Advertiser.
