Description:

This is a letter from John Marshall to the Fisher family on November 15, 1805. These are orders that payments are to be made to someone. The creator of this letter, John Marshall, was born in 1755 in Virginia. Marshall served in the U.S. Supreme Court and remains the longest serving chief justice. He was also one of the individuals to serve in all three branches of government. Walker & Kennedy is mentioned within the letter, which is a company based in Philadelphia selling different products (tobacco, food, other general goods). The payment is to the wife of William Windsor Fisher, a resident of Philadelphia, PA.
