Description:

This is a letter from Emma Willard to Annie Brown on January 15, 1864. This letter informs the recipient that Willard is sending some of her and her sisters autographs and photographs. The creator of this letter, Emma Willard, was born in Connecticut in 1787. Willard was a female education activist who was able to attend and lead schools; she eventually had a school named after her.

Friday Jan 15th 1864 Mrs. Brown Lee & Dear Madam, I deeply sympathize with you in the object of your Calens, and have sent more than you asked of my autographs and photography. I enclose them and my sisters. Cordially yours Emma Willard Mrs. Annie M. Brown Sent -15’ Photographs 30 Autographs
