Description:

An autograph from William Bryant. Bryant was born in Massachusetts in 1794. He was a journalist, romantic poet, and long-time editor of the New York Evening Post. He began his career as a lawyer but found love for poetry. After moving to New York he worked as an editor for many newspapers. Bryant became one of the most important poets in early literary America.
