Description:

Autograph from an individual named John Cadwalader. Cadwalader, born in Philadelphia in 1805, was an American jurist, politician, slaveholder, lawyer, U.S. district judge, and even served as a United States representative from Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pennsylvania where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree. Serving under Geroge Washington, he led troops in the American Revolutionary War.
