Description:

Autograph of Andrew Curtin. This seems to be written from the Executive Chamber from Harrisburg Pennsylvania in 1863. Curtin was born in Pennsylvania in 1815. He served as the 15th Governor of Pennsylvania during the American Civil War, helped defend his state during the Gettysburg Campaign and oversaw the creation of the National Cemetery and the ceremony of Lincoln’s famous address after the Battle of Gettysburg.
