Description:

An unconventional-looking check from E[than].A[llen]. Hitchcock. Hitchcock was born in Vermont in 1798. He was an author and United States Army officer who would become a major general during the American Civil War. Hitchcock was also a musician, he played the flute and had a collection of flute music. Hitchcock also had a private library in which he kept over 250 volumes on alchemy.
