Description:

A signature of John McLean. McLean was born in New Jersey in 1785. McLean served as Postmaster General and was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Coincidentally, he served in all three branches of the federal government. While on the Supreme Court of the United States he ruled on landmark cases such as Dred Scott v. Sanford (1857) and Prigg v. Pennsylvania (1842).
