The front of the item states that Buck died on June 11, 1800, and was owed $30.00 of his pay. The back of the item notes that this sum was paid to S. Macwhorter after the disbandment of the company. He was also compensated for his travels to Tioga.
This item was originally curated with Series II: the McClintock Family Series, as part of a binder, original number 1.6 Binder: Andrew McClintock Correspondence and Biographical Materials and Photo, 1831-1881.
