Title:

Map of Jefferson Township

Description:

The following item dated roughly mid-late nineteenth century, depicts a photostat of a map of Jefferson township. The copy is of an original lithograph map of the county, created by Charles M. Cromwell. The map contains tracts of land with various peoples names and the acreage found in each tract. The county is bordered by Wayne, Blakely, Roaring Brook, and Madison counties, and depicts a number of lakes and rivers along the region. The date of the manuscript has been estimated according to the active dates of the original lithographer, Charles M. Cornwell, who is present on a Bond & Town Sodus for the County of Wayne, and is attributed for his work in 1879.
