Description:

The following item dated April of 1927, depicts a map of G. Edward Miller’s properties in Port Blanchard and Jenkins township. His property is between the Susquehanna river and the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company’s lands, with Ann street running diagonally from River Road. This survey map details the boundaries of the property and was created by H. Coward, an engineer in Pittston, PA. There is a key/legend at the bottom right hand corner of the map, stating the ownership, engineer, and scale of the map. These tracts lay between Pittston on the left directional and Wilkes Barre on the right, and have some annotative markers for the different sectioned tracts, such as a hotel, lands sold to Catherine Olshefky, and where the top of the bank lies on the river. There are a number of directional coordinates in each box on the map, which correspond to the field survey of each tract and denote the boundaries lying within each one.
