Description:
The following item, dated June 12, 1950, depicts a photostat by Unknown of a warrantee map of Marcy township in Pennsylvania. It contains a mapped survey of the township, and sections numbered one through thirty-eight, each containing names of the warrant holders for the original tracts of land. The map was constructed from the original drafts of the Department of Internal Affairs, under the direction of Warren J. Daniel, its director. The map was certified under the seal of office by Daniel and attested to by the secretary, William S. Livengood.
This map is titled a Warrant Map, which is a map that shows the original land purchases, the warrants for land, for those specific geographical areas, such as townships in this case.
