General Description:

Good.

Measurements:

12 ¾ in. x 7 ⅞ in.

Description:

The following item depicts a photostat of a record for Isaac Vanburen’s warrant application, dated January 19, 1822. In the application, Vanburen has requested 100 acres of land that has previously been unseated and unimproved. The land is located in Providence, PA, in Luzernze county. It is bounded by other held lots, including the previous lands of Joseph Horsefield on the south, and Andrew Henderson on the east. The final lines of the testimony state that Vanburen has actually made a settlement and improvements upon the land since he has been settled there, and has paid into the office of the State Treasurer 10 pounds per acre, with interest accruing from April 1st of 1819. The remainder of the deed states that the lands should be surveyed to Vanburen upon the fact that he has paid the sum in full, if they are not already done so. If they are, the deed shall be the warrant, which should be returned to the office. The deed is witnessed by James Brady, and addressed to Samuel Cochran, the Surveyor General.
