Description:
This is a typescript copy of a land deed from Elijah Slater, son of Samuel Slater Jr., to David and Asa Dimock for $676.67 for a plot of land in Pittston Township. The land in question is marked by a small survey of its boundaries and neighbors and neighbors in the area, including Jonathan Marcy 1769-1799 and Jeremiah Blanchard 1764-1837. It confirms the sale and transfers all rights from Slater to the Dimocks. It notes towards the end that a portion of the Lackawanna Creek is reserved to James, 1746-1797, and Solomon Finn, 1770-1827, while also holding them accountable for any damages that may occur. The underlined portion of the letter specifies the lot numbers to be sold, and the start of its northern boundary.
