Description:

This is a typewritten copy of a land deed from Jeremiah Blanchard, 1764-1837, to James Finn, 1746-1797, for “30 pounds Connecticut money” or $15.00 for the water path upon his land on August 27 1792. The land in question is near Pittston and the right is sold for the purpose of building a water raceway. The exact description of what the raceway is intended for is described, and the legal rights are transferred to Finn. Others are mentioned within the document in the context of relation to other lands, being Samuel Slater Jr.
