Description:

A typescript copy of a land deed for parcels, with some field notes, of land formerly owned by William R. Griffith and wife to the men of the heirs of the Wyoming Coal Association, George A., James H, and Samuel Hodgdon. It seems to be a continuation of another document, immediately giving a description of the location and size of the land despite having the names, date, and location at the top. The land in question for this section is marked by a small survey-like description of its perimeters and relations to other lots in the area, including those of John Blanchard. It holds 21 acres and 8/10ths perches. They are said to be part of the estate of Jeremiah Blanchard and divided into two shares. There is one reserved area within this that is excepted from the sale due to an earlier conveyance by the deed of Samuel Hogdon Jr. In this, Griffith and Wife transferred the lands to George A., James H., John B., and Samuel Hogdon, all being the sons of Hogdon Junior.
