Description:

The following item dated May 5, 1741, depicts a legal bond signed by Ludwig Polls, administrator for the estate of Mathias Obold, recently deceased, in settling dues for the estate. The deed states that he and Adam Shrove owe Peter Evans, the Register General, for accounts rendered on the estate. The sum of that charge would be fifty pounds. However, there is a condition on the deed that if Polls were to compile an accurate account of all the goods, chattel, and credits on the accounts and that account be leveled by the Orphans court at Philadelphia, the dues would be handled by the office. The deed is witnessed by Conrad Weiser, and signed by Ludwig and Adam.
