Description:
The following item dated roughly during the late nineteenth and eary twentieth centuries, depicts a note written by an unknown creator regarding the estate of John Blanchard. In the note, there is a list and explanation for the division of his lands to each of his heirs. Some of the names included are Helen D., Sarah Blanchard, S. B., and Bloors. In the equations at the top, which are the divisions of the lands named in the manuscript, such as 8.90 at the top which corresponds to Lot 6, attributed to Helen D., there are also names Wright and Hein.
These divisions may be the rendering we see in item 110, a Handwritten notes on Land Lots, by [Pos. Dorothy Stets Chapman], of Grandmother’s Lands, [ca. mid-late twentieth century]. (Removed to Legal Box #2)
The date of the item has been estimated by the death of John Blanchard, the man whose lands are being discussed.
