Title:

Luzerne County’s Revised Legislative Districts.

Description:

This is a typescript copy of a newspaper publication from the Wilkes Barre Record on March 15 1954 regarding revisions to the legislative districts of Luzerne County. The article is cut from the page of the paper, including the article itself at the bottom as well as an illustration of Luzerne and the new divisions above it. The piece discusses the changes in more detail, from the physical to the political, including losing a representative in the State Assembly. It lists the chairmen of each district and discusses the reapportionment as a whole and what that entails for Luzerne County. At the end, it shows each district, area, its census counts, and the republican and democrats in each.
