From the Collection: The Eugene Shedden Farley Papers, 1930-2000, contains a variety of documents, photographs, correspondences, and publications related to Wilkes College’s (now University) first president, Dr. Eugene S. Farley. These materials span from the creation of Wilkes College in Fall 1947 as it changed from Bucknell University Junior College (1933-1947), through Dr. Farley’s presidency at Wilkes College (1947-1970), his retirement and time as Chancellor of Wilkes College (1970-1973 ), and materials after his death (1973) that mention him. These include the college's enrollment statistics and student data, Wilkes College charter applications, reports, syllabi, grants, financial records, speeches, meeting minutes, surveys, inventories, various documents for the Wyoming Valley Community Forum and Eugene S.
