Description:

The following items depict a letter and photograph of a schoolhouse in Bucks township, written by Raeple [or Raepple], to Gilbert Stuart McClintock in October of 1956. An annotation on the back of the photograph mentions that this was the Shade’s Glen School, the last one room school house. The letter mentions that Raeple and others photographed the school, and an upcoming feature story on it is to be published forthcoming. He also mentions sending some other photographs he made for Connie Reynolds Behlin, as well as some lantern slides while she gave a talk to them before the Women’s Club on the Susquehanna River Bridges.
