Scope and Contents

The collection consists of bound original issues of the pro-Andrew Jackson newspaper The Globe from 1832-45. The newspaper printed political editorials with a pro-Jackson viewpoint, speeches, news items, excerpts from other items, and the proceedings of Congress when Congree was in session.
