Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Arnaud C. and Anne Cartwright Marts Collection, 1888-2008, bulk 1940s-1970s consists of personal and professional correspondence, publications, photographs, photo albums, newspaper clippings, college files and records, physical realia of gowns, membership cards, and other objects regarding Anne Cartwright Marts and Arnaud C. Marts’ professional and personal lives and ancestry. This collection has materials that span from 1899 to 2008, however the bulk of the published and unpublished materials reflect various points of Anne and Arnaud’s professional and personal lives including photo albums from Anne’s service as a nurse in the Red Cross during World War II, Arnaud’s administrative positions held at various colleges and universities such as Bucknell University, Oberlin College, Bucknell University Junior College and Wilkes College, and family genealogical notes and photographs of the Marts, Cartwrights, and Hotchkiss families.
