This item instructs Butler to allow an individual to keep possession of two oxen, as long as he provides the Continental Army with an equal quantity of meat.

Wyalusing August 7th [17]79 Sir, I am directed by General Sullivan to request that you would permit Mr Benjamin Harvey to retain two oxen which he now has in his possession provided he gives in lieu thereof, an equal quantity of beef & pork.
