Poor. Vinegar smell. The paper is separated into three separate pieces as it has torn at folds. The paper itself is browning, has some tattered edges, and has minor folds and staining.
Measurements:

Description:
This letter, dated November 25, 1780, is written by Zebulon Butler, a lieutenant colonel during the American Revolutionary War, to John Henry Antes. In the letter, Butler writes that he recently received orders to forage for necessary supplies. Butler writes that due to Congress' recent decision the orders can now come under Antes’ orders and states that they only require about 12 or 14 horses. Butler concludes by asking for further advice from Antes on their condition and the necessary supplies.

Sir
yours Respecting Forrage (sic) [forage] I Received but as the Congress
has lately ordered Cattle Flower &c [etcetera] from Pennsylvania
to this Post Perhaps the Forrag (sic) [forage] may come under your
Directions, if it should then may be Enough Purchased
hear (sic) [here] we shall want only for 12 or 14 Horses if your
orders should Continue so that you can not Supply or give
orders for A supply I shall be much obliged to you for
an answer by the Barrow to let me know what to Depend
on so that I may Look out in some other Quarter
