Poor. Vinegar smell. The paper is separated into three separate pieces as it has torn at folds. The paper itself is browning, has some tattered edges, and has minor folds and staining.

This letter written by Zebulon Butler concerns supplies as well as a foraging mission.

Transcription:

Wyoming 25 Nov 1780 Sir yours Respecting Forrage [sic] I Received but as the Congress has lately ordered cattle flower & from Pennsylvania to this Post Perhaps the Forrag may come under your Directions if it should then may be Enough Purchased hear we shall want only for 12 or 14 Horses is your order should continue so that you can not supply or give order for A supply I shall be much obliged to you for an answer by the Barrow to let me know what to Depend on so that I may look out in some other Quarter Your comptians will much oblige you Humble Servt Zeb Butler Colonel Col Antis
