Diaries of Silvanus Seely

Description:

Typed documents acknowledging the timeline and biographical sketch of Silvanus Seely’s life. These transcripts focus on his time building his mill in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. Silvanus Seely lived from 1748 to 1821. He was a Revolutionary war colonel and fought in many battles, such as the Battle of Monmouth. After the war he moved to Wayne County, Pa where he started many businesses. He faced financial hardships in the beginning but eventually became a respected businessman. He would remain in Pennsylvania until his death in 1821.
