Title:

Anthracite Coal Operators Association

Description:

A publication of the transportation of coal and a history of coal mining in Northeast Pennsylvania. There are descriptions of the beginning of the industry and charts of coal pricing from the early 1800s. The last data reported is from 1901. The Association also includes an article on striking coal miners. This article reveals that the Anthracite Coal Operators Association were against strikes and were biased against worker’s unions. It ends with notes on business dealings from 1902. Some of these notes include mines who fired workers for going on strike.
