Description:

Historical paper on land in Northeastern, Pennsylvania. This was written by William Alonzo Wilcox, and read on February14, 1922 before the Lackawanna Historical Society. Wilcox was a Scranton local and a member of the Lackawanna Historical Society. He was a historian, who wrote extensively of the Northeast Pennsylvania region. His most well-known is “A Wilcox-Brown-Medbery Genealogy” published in 1902.This booklet is about the land disputes between Pennsylvania and Connecticut. It also covers individuals who owned land in Northeastern Pennsylvania. It begins with why both states believed they were the owners of this land.
