The Old Mill. (In Wyoming Valley)
Description:
On the front side is a lithograph roughly colored in entitled, “The Old Mill. (In Wyoming Valley). The back side has advertisements glued to it, advertising a dealer in millinery and fancy goods as well as photographic rooms in Augusta, Maine. “The Old Mill,” was created by The Kellogg & Buckeley Co. The advertisements describe photographic rooms as “fancy goods” by Mrs. V. T. Blackwell. The smaller advertisements demonstrate a Steam Dye House.
Founded in 1867, Kellogg & Buckeley succeeded E.B. & E.C. Kellogg, which operated from 1840 to 1867. The company was later incorporated as The Kellogg & Bulkeley Company.
