Description:

An ink drawing of a man reading a book while riding on a mule standing in a creek. There are some houses in the background. This piece was created by Edward Winsor Kemble. Edwards Winsor Kemble was an American illustrator born January 18, 1861. He is often cited as E. W. Kemble and incorrectly as Edward Windsor Kemble. He is best known for illustrating the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and caricatures of African Americans. He died September 19, 1933. Dates: 1890
