Description:

A print of Sarah Atherton Henry who was the wife of William Henry III. Lydia Atherton Stile is mentioned in the transcript as Sarah Atherton Henry’s daughter. It is also written that the family lived in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania. Forty Fort is located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Forty settlers from Westmoreland, Connecticut established a fort near the Susquehanna River in 1770. This gave the town its name and this area had played an important role during the Revolutionary War.

Born 1814 died 1895

She had 2 children Thomas Henry Atherton (my father) and Lydia A. Stiles -> Mrs Sidney [illegible] miner, later married She was the second wife of Wm. Henry who had 2 daughters + several sons by his first wife They lived on the old Atherton farm, at Forty Fort, Pa. The Stiles family lived with her - her husband died long before she died.
